Professional medical service of Echocardiography
Ultrasound imaging, also referred to as sonography, is a non-invasive and highly effective diagnostic technique employed at RadCare. By utilizing high-frequency sound waves, it produces detailed, real-time images of the body’s internal structures. A small probe and ultrasound gel are used to emit sound waves, which capture precise visuals of organs and blood flow. Unlike X-rays, ultrasound imaging is completely safe and does not involve ionizing radiation, ensuring the utmost safety for our patients. At RadCare, we leverage the latest ultrasound technology to provide accurate diagnostics and reliable results for optimal patient care.
Types of Ultrasound Imaging
- Conventional Ultrasound: Produces thin, flat images of the body.
- 3D Ultrasound: Formats sound wave data into three-dimensional images.
- 4D Ultrasound: Provides real-time, moving 3D images.
- Doppler Ultrasound: Evaluates blood flow through major arteries and veins in areas like the abdomen, arms, legs, and neck.
Why is it Performed?
Echocardiology evaluates:
- How well your heart is pumping.
- The proper functioning of heart valves.
It does not diagnose conditions like angina but provides critical insights into heart function.
Preparation Guidelines
- Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
- Jewelry: Remove any in the examination area.
- For Children: To ensure a smoother experience, explain the procedure beforehand, as motion or crying may delay the exam.
